Vacancy Details
- Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Temporary Position

- Job Location: IIRS, ISRO, Dehradun (All India transferable as per ISRO projects)
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: M.Tech, M.E., M.Sc, M.Arch, M.Plan, or equivalent in selected disciplines with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5/10.
- Preferred Disciplines: Remote Sensing, GIS, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, Forestry, Agriculture, Urban Planning, Architecture, Water Resources, Earth Sciences, or related fields.
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 14 December 2025.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC(NCL), and as per govt. rules for others.
- NET/GATE qualification may be required (see project-wise eligibility in notification).
Fellowship & Tenure
- Fellowship Amount: Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA as per IIRS/ISRO rules.
- Fellowship Upgrade: May be upgraded to Sr. Research Fellow (SRF) after 2 years (Rs. 42,000/- p.m.).
- Maximum Tenure: Up to 5 years (JRF + SRF).
Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on academic merit & eligibility.
- Interview for shortlisted candidates (call letter via Email only).
- Final selection is merit-based; results published on IIRS/ISRO official website.
